Permanent Vacation Selected Label Works Vol. 3

Permanent Vacation is a Munich-based record company that focuses on euro-disco and house music. I’ll come right out and say it – this compilation is fucking awesome. 26 tracks wholly consisting of deep house cuts, ridiculous vocals, and samples of Ace of Base and C+C Music Factory  make up this double-disk sampler. CD 1 has the jams, CD2 has more downtempo remixes.

Ami Dang - Hukam

Ami Dang is a transcendental singer-songwriter based out of Baltimore, Maryland. Her work is able to cross spacial and culture bounds to create beat-oriented, danceable music featuring the Sitar. Dang's voice pierces through tracks like "A Strange Community" and "Manli" to effectively resonate through the inter-looping and locking of different beats and grooves.

Although these sounds may seem repetitive to some, I feel that Dang's music is an introspective piece of work that shouldn't be ignored.
